Ah yes, my kryptonite. That is such a good look I can almost forgive the occasional 3:00 am hysterical phone call and subsequent knife attack.

If you manage to find this girl AND get her interest (both big if's), I'm pretty sure I can predict how it ends.

Kryptonite is the perfect word to use. As for late night calls and subsequent knife attacks, I've learned to turn off my ringer... and wear Kevlar pajamas. I draw the line, however, at threats to pour sugar in my car's gas tank. Cut me if you must, but keep your psycho hands off my ride.

Here's a quick list for you bachelors. Two are easy to spot/avoid, but two are more submerged and manifest themselves later:

If a women treats waitstaff or other service folks poorly, that is a bad sign.

A woman who is a slob--If the girl's apartment is a disaster and looks like it always has been. I don't mean a few things laying around, but habits that indicate a lack of care or a problem with keeping a normal house, such as stacks of old newspapers/mail or mold in the shower or piles of dishes from over a week ago.

Heavy family drama. It never truly goes away and it will be very stressful. You become her on-call psychologist and your advice better be spot-on, or you will be fighting about it later.

No interest in helping in the kitchen. The dating life of going out for dinner all the time ends eventually. Not talking her cooking you dinner every night, but if she can't/won't do anything, it will suck once you have kids and need to stay in more.

married 7.5 years now but deal breakers back in the day were smoker and non-sports fan, non-athletic, overweight. I admit it, I'm shallow when it comes to that. I ended up with a fit competitive athlete (and fitness model) who loves sports in person and on TV and has never smoked a cigarette or cigar in her life.

No. I did get a couple of more romps in before ties were cut loose.
