Dear 247 (Noah): Start charging a fee for each user name

  • Here's what I wrote on tBB.....

    I could see boards like RCMB and others having an option so that only posters that paid the 5 fee or VIP could post there. A national board is going to have to be free though. Maybe not this one and we create a new one like Rivals has in Soundoff but got to have a place so people can get into recruiting without having to pay.

    Kind of odd that there seems to be posters with personal agendas in that thread. They clearly are not funny.

    This board has an infestation that i highly doubt any other board has. We haver a dedicated racist, sexist and recruit basher who also just happens to be (and here's the shocker) a fan of UM. He has made numerous attempts to harrass recruits and thinks children that are sexually molested should just get over it and that trayvon martin has it coming.

    The people who suggest ignoring it are fooling themselves, there is already plenty of documented evidence of fans causing disruptions to recruiting by contacting kids on social networks or badmouthing them on message boards. So if that shit is left unchecked and someone like Caleb Benenoch happens to google his name and finds a thread where our particular troll is calling his family every name in his KKK handbook and nobody says a word to counter it, how will that not effect the decisions of highly emotional teenagers?

    It's one of the sickest things i've seen a person do, the anonymity has allowed a piece of shit loser to say things that he wouldn't have the courage in a million years to say to someones face. To mock abused and dying children is something that shows a serious deficiency in the parenting job this POS received.

    We'd need a way to restrict posting on this board to only those people that have paid.

    Oh i agree with you. If other boards don't have that type of sadistic clown running around then there's no need to kill a fly with a cannon. In this case our board has been attempting to kill a bloated swine with a fly swatter.

    I think we're all in agreement with that. Board - by - Board would be great, and the site owners could opt in. Obviously AU/UA/tOSU boards are pay-to-post already, so that's a non-issue for them. I think Maryland, MSU and S. Car could benefit from the option.

    Thanks for being open to the idea and working with us on it.

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

    Blaming his parents seems harsh. I'm sure they're nice people. Even with fine parents people can still turn out to be shitbags.

    I'm going to credit Ross for making a concerted effort to change his ways. He (and I) would admit that I was pretty rough on him for the tact he chose to take here the first couple years he was on board. Now he blends in pretty well and if not for his history most wouldn't notice him one way or another. And Ross, whatever people think of him, never hated MSU. Nucky does and the last 4 years of dominance have produced the product that he is now. He can't effect the ass whippings they take on the fball and baseball fields, or the bball court and hockey rink. But he sure can call our black recruits monkeys and our coaches the f word used as a perjorative for homosexuals.
