Glad you posted this. I've been saying for a couple of years that Denzel is much more athletic than given credit for. He's still "a growing boy" but he's a big-boned kid and he is able to play a physical game at the HS level.
Getting a kid like him is key. He's smart, unselfish and an above-average athlete with good size. Throw in his versatility and playing the PG slot and you've got quite a package. Just like Al Horford and DayDay, I think MSU fans and coaches would've been upset if Zel would've gone to another school.

A buddy and I were talking about the biggest changes in sports from when we played 20 years ago. I said the use of personal trainers at a young age. I had a tough time getting the parents to pay for Juds camp let alone a trainer.
With that said Denzel and his trainer have obviously worked hard. He is a different player.
MSU practices are gonna be intense in the next few years, I love it!
