How they respond to this will be vital. You can't change it, no matter how bad it is. Either you rally around it and say we need to beat them without OT and an overturned called, or you get caught up in it and get distracted.
Win or go home, and honestly, this is really easy to get right...I hope a distracted team doesn't lose Comley's final game tomorrow.

That's seven straight CCHA playoff losses in a row for the Spartans. Last win was game 1 against NMU in 2008. Hope this ugly streak ends tonight!

the only update i have is that it was probably the biggest blown call i have ever seen in my 28 years of watching/playing hockey. the announcers/refs/and alaska coach all admitted that the net came up. how you could review and see that and still allow the goal is beyond me. it will be very interesting to see the ccha try and explain this one because its a pretty cut and dry rule. net comes up, play stops immediately. so we'll see what kind of bullshit they try and feed

I've never been a big fan of ccha refs. But I still find Big Ten basketball refs to be infinitely worse.

Does anyone remember the game at Munn (I think it was the late 90s) where the ref got hit in the head with a coke on the way out of the tunnel? He had flat out missed an MSU goal (it went in and right back out) that would have won the game. I think it was against Miami.

You never stop. Just when one thinks you can't see less class you always come through.
This isn't a game Comley lost. MSU has a goal dis-allowed and then losses on a similar call that allows the goal.
If MSU would have won you would have told us Comley's coaching would cost the team the next 2. If they pull it off and win the next 2 you'll be ragging him about his next loss anyway. He's gone at the end of the season.

I have no idea who these people are. I assume they were hockey officials.
The only one worth mentioning to old time MSU hockey fans (circa the era of Amo) is Medo Martinello who was a real fan favorite.

For you young whippersnappers who never had the misfortune to see Piotriowski call a game, he was the very worst of a bad group of CCHA officials. So bad that Shegos appeared almost competent by comparision. Naturally the CCHA in their infinite wisdom got him off the ice by making him supervisor of officials - the most obvious case of the Peter Principle I've ever seen.
