Do we hate Robert Griffin III?

  • This isn't an easy question, its something I've been pondering this preseason as I check box scores during the Redskins games and do a little cheer as RG3's stat lines are... meh.

Back last season I started following RG3, right around the time everybody else caught on he was putting up ridiculous video game stats. I dug the fact that he went out and married a chick with huge cans, seemed like a really good dude, good teammate, and had freakish athletic ability and a cannon arm. I really fell head over heels for him in the bowl game while he was (what I thought would be) on his way to a 1,500 yard offensive showing by Baylor. Followed the dude a little during the pre-draft shit show and even start believing there was a chance he'd jump Luck for #1... I'm no 'skins fan, but I thought it was a good move when they traded up to get him, for him being in a big market, public team.

Then in the 4th round things began to change. I started hating him and everything he stood for, I hated his "dual threat" nature, started rationalizing that "this dude's going to get injured more often than Mike Vick" and started buying into the baseless rumors that plagued him in the predraft shit show of being a "bad teammate."

Is this wrong? Should I just hope he does well and Kirk learns his way through the system and gets his shot some day? Using a few years on the bench to eventually become the man like Steve McNair, Daunte Culpepper, Romo, et al did before them?

    Give me some perspective RCMB.

Also, pics of wife with huge cans included.

  • I'm rooting against him.

    L_Himmler

  • No, I don't hate him. And you may have undersold the size of his wife's breasts when you called them merely "huge."

  • Nice cans, but those things are going to be sagging at her knees in 10 years.

  • No, but I hate the Seahawks for taking Wilson over Cousins.

  • Dem is big titties. didnt read the writing stuff.

  • I don't hate him I hate the position that he is in.

    Sp4rt4ns

  • I don't dislike him at all. I dislike Washington for picking Cousins, and in general for being a crappy franchise. Looks like he barley played this last game.

    Its five o'clock somewhere.

  • wait til the regular season games start and he gets the rookie awakening (ass woop)

    I feel the same way.

  • He seems a little cocky, but I don't hate him. You'd want your starting QB to be a little cocky.

Absolutely hate snyder, shannahan, and anyone else who was responsible for picking Cousins. Washington has so many holes to fill, it's ridiculous they chose a back-up in the fourth round.

    I also hate grossman, just b/c he's a turd.

I think RGIII has an excellent chance of being a bust. Many young QBs thrown into the fire do wash out, and he's got the heisman pressure working against him. He also has terrible throwing mechanics, he throws flat-footed, and I think he's going to find running room scarce in the NFL.

If he's a bust its because his body is going to take just an absolutely inhuman amount of punishment playing behind that offensive line.

    I don't hate him though.

  • If RGIII is healthy, he's starting in washigton regardless. Also, isn't Grossman 2nd string anyway? I just want Kirk to leave Washington. That franchise is a joke these days.

This. They drafted Cousins into a bad situation. Don't like them for it. Hard to blame Griffin though.

He's a great kid. He's like Cousins in that respect.

Drafting both of them was not fair to Cousins.

  • Nah, he's a great kid from a good family...I think both his parents are Military. Well spoken young man as well. I think this is all a blessing for KC...gets time to learn before being traded to a team with expectations

  • I'm only rooting against him until Cousins is out of Washington - and I desperately hope Kirk gets out of there soon. It's a garbage organization. He needs to find his way into a situation where he's learning from one of the greats and getting his shot when he's ready in a couple of years. He gets neither of those in Washington.

I couldn't believe Denver took ASU's gangly, dogshit QB over Cousins. That kid is all kinds of useless.

No, I am absolutely not rooting against him and Kirk wouldn't be starting no matter where he was picked so I don't see the big deal. Hell, being stuck behind an unproven rookie gives him a better shot than being stuck behind an established veteran.

Rex Grossman though, fuck that dude. I hate him almost as much as Albert Haynesworth.

  • not RGIII's fault the Redskins are morans. KC will get a shot somewhere, provided he keeps working and stays patient.

  • Like Danny Wuerffel, he is a military brat. Can't hate. I hope he does well.

  • He always acted like a punk when the Pokes dominated him. I think he's overrated.
