Do we have the best defense in the Big Ten this year?

Outstanding LBs. Not sure about the rest.
MSU certainly will have one of the best defenses in the big ten. Its all about filling the DT position. Excellent ends, LBs, and secondary.

Not at all. I actually expect Gholston, Allen, Bullough, and at least one of our DBs to be some type of All-Merican.

LT isn't gonna be playing LB and we aren't gonna be playing 3-4

In conference games, UofM was 4th in scoring defense and 3rd in total defense. They were first in rushing defense, but then again, they didn't play the top rushing team in the B1G either.

last year at the end I was worried about Gholston leaving for the NFL early...but after hearing about Calhoun and Heath I'm not anxious at all. If he leaves early that means 1) He had a monster ass season and dominated. 2) It only reinforces the notion that MSU puts D-linemen in the NFL and will help with recruiting. I'm very comfortable with the future of this defense and excited for it's potential. Dantonio and Narduzzi have gotten us to the point where we can reload, and keep playing at a high level year after year.

In B1G games, correct. I'm curious what Michigan's numbers would have been with MSU's schedule, but we'll never know that one.

Do you honestly think um had a better d than msu? I assume you saw both teams in action, which one looked better to you? Not knocking um, that had a good year, but the two were at different levels
