I find this view interesting because it's really just not good although - ever since it was released - the hipster counter culture types have clung to it, claimed it as their own, too afraid to embrace Licensed to Ill, which is sort of the underlying point of this thread. Both Dookie and Licensed are masterpieces that were way over exposed and suffered because of their popularity. I look at both albums fondly and each has it's own charm. I honestly can't choose between the two
