  • Exciting to see Darien Harris developing on one hand, on the other it's kind of a bummer a freshman could outplay Taiwan jones who we heard so much about last year. He's one of the guys I thought would tear the lid off this year.

They're in the same class; good for depth though.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

  • Here's my personal position by position advantage. I tried not to say "push" except QB.

QB - Push (Cook playing both)
RB - White (Bell is good, but imo Caper + Hill is better, and Caper has been rocking this spring)
FB - White (Palazeti is a beast by all accounts)
    WR - White
TE - Green (more talent and experience)
OT - White (more experience and depth)
    OG/C - Green (more experience)

DE - Green (Gholston>Rush, others are a push)
DT/NT - Green (no experience on White)
LB - White (Bullough, Allen, Harris)
CB - White (no experience on the Green side, All-B1G corner on White)
S - White (Lewis has experience, Drummond and RJ seem to be fairly close)

White seems to be more loaded across most, but this isn't nearly as one sided as last year.

Wasn't Jeremy Langford drafted as a WR?

They were the same recruiting class, but Harris redshirted and Taiwan didn't. Unless Taiwan redshirts, he and Harris will be in different classes.

  • The white team offers a trade proposal. One like most of us playing fantasy football have heard from the new guy in the league. At the end, the white team requests a trade for Gholston for Arnett. Dantonio "now you are wasting our time". Classic.

He was, but Bell isn't going to play too many snaps for fear of injury. Langford offers the ability to be a sort of utility player.

  • how many snaps will the starters get?

    tVargMan Prime

  • Yes he was, should have listed him as such. MooU is correct though that Langford will likely play some RB, just as Denzel Drone will probably play some DE due to limited numbers.

Don't be surprised if you see Langford lineup at RB, WR, and CB. I remember one year Tyler Hoover lined up at TE.

France will probably play OT and OG. Might even see him on defense.

Team White only has 2 true CBs, but Dixon and Andre Sims both can play CB. Same with Williamson for that matter.

Drone will probably play some DE too, because he knows the position.

  • Gainer early pick as a DE. Glad to see he is making a name.

Love the versatility of this team.

I am going with Green. Go Green.

Like their lines. This will be a good game!! Hope they let them play for at least a quarter. Then tell them to back off a bit.

I think Maxwell would play if this was a regular game, but there is so much energy and competition on this team....Get ready for a rumble.

This will be the toughest D this offense will see all year...unless we play an SEC team in a significant bowl....and then it will be a toss up.

Green potentially has 4 of the 5 OL starters in Burkland, Treadwell, Jackson and McDonald. Problem is that their skill players aren't as good as White's, plus White has Bullough, Allen and Darien Harris. Good LB unit right there.

Is Corey Freeman not playing or something? White only has 2 DEs, so no chance of a rotation there.

CB's going to be kind of an adventure. Going to be very curious to see who emerges between the 2 RS FR.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Freeman's on one of the injured reserve lists.
