I'm glad to see the AD office finally starting to tout our players to the national media.

I recall telling a friend a couple years ago that if Cam Newton had put up the stats that he did in 2010 at MSU, he wouldn't even have been invited to NYC for the Heisman ceremony, let alone win it by a record margin.

By getting our guys the recognition they deserve, it makes it easier for a phenom to picture himself doing the same at MSU.

Props to Draymond, he has earned everything he's gotten so far, and I think he'll collect some hardware for us, and for himself over the next few weeks.

I'd be stunned if Davis doesn't win it. Kid is getting better every game. Green is likely a 1st team AA, and that is a hell of an accomplishment.

Did anyone think that this kid would ever be a BTPOY & All-American back when he was a freshmen? I loved the kid and though his ceiling was 7-8 pts a night as a 6th man.

I was a huge fan immediately. The passion he played with and effort he put forth was apparent, I just never saw him as a takeover a game / best player on the floor type guy. IMO, he's been the best player on the floor in a large majority of the games we've played this year. What he's become is absolutely stunning and a credit to the effort he's put in and his will to be the best.

I still doubt his future as an NBA player, but at the same time feel stupid for saying that. He's already proven a lot of people wrong with his accomplishments.

Magic Johnson was quoted last week as saying Green has a future in the nba. He says Green does too many things right not to be an nba player. Last mock draft I saw Green was all the way up to pick 20 by Philadelphia. No offense, but I am going to put a little more faith in what Magic has to say since he has been there, and done that. Not to mention he is one of the nba's greatest players ever.

Green put up a triple-double in the NCAA tournament. When he did that, I had no doubt he would make an NBA roster. Like Magic says, Green's versatile skillset guarantees he gets a shot at the next level.

Yeah, it was hard to see his outside game developing and Ed Davis abused him in close, in the title game.

I think it's good that it appears Day Day is going to go late in the first round of the draft. That means he's going to be going to a team that already has a playoff nucleus and isn't going to depend on him to turn the franchise around. But staying out of the second round means that he won't get buried on the bench, or never signed (which often happens to 2nd rounders).

In the right kind of organization (I'm thinking a team like the Spurs, or the mid-00 Pistons, or maybe a team like the Thunder), I could see him becoming a key part of the team (probably not a starter, but maybe the 6th or 7th man). He's a smart player and has an incredible competitive drive.

That said, while I'd love to see him win some of the National POTY awards, I just don't think it's going to happen. IF all balloting was done after the tourney AND he led State to a title while dominating AND both UK and Kansas lost fairly early, I could see there being a possibility of it. But most of the awards are basically regular seasons MVP/most likely to go high in the NBA draft awards.

He's they type of player the Celtics or Jerry West would find in the in the last 1st round and become a very productive pro.
