  • Brandy is the same guy that helped organize the " We Believe In Steve Rally" in an effort to save the job of the man that led the dirtiest program in NCAA basketball history. Irony.

    What a dumb ass.

It is actually pretty funny listening to all these sanctimonious UM fanboys create such a convoluted drama. They are as uneducated as any fan base in the nation.

Ah. Well, I liked it when it first came out and haven't updated other movies I liked in about two years.

Throwback to Better Off Dead, etc., though not nearly as good.

No doubt he would be the one that brings a bottle of jergens and a sock to an adaptation of the Romance of Horn and then he'd get all pissed off and tweet "how can it be called a romance when there isn't sex?"

  • Haslett Spartan hit it dead solid perfect.

"A tragic hero is a character in a work of fiction (often the protagonist) who commits an action or makes a mistake which eventually leads to his or her defeat. The idea of the tragic hero was created in ancient Greek tragedy and defined by Aristotle (and others). Usually, this includes the realization of the error (anagnorisis), which results in catharsis or epiphany."

Remember, Dantonio was an English major at South Carolina. He knew what he was saying, Brandstatter didn't.

@brandymancan Jim Brandstatter When is lying to your boss, to the NCAA heroic. Is it heroic to teach young men that wrong isn't wrong unless you get caught? Gimme a break

Broadsiding Dantonio. When someone asks you why it's personal, why it'll never be over, and just why you loathe Michigan Football so much, think of this drooling, stuttering, slovenly fatass.

Brandstatter is the absolute epitome of the unbelievable arrogance of Michigan football, and their insufferable fanbase. Trapped in the 70s. Sticking his size 60 chest out about a program that's won half a national title since the Korean War and had its most dominant period before widespread electricity. A player who was at best average, but made a career out of kissing Bo's ass.

People like this are why it's personal. This is why it'll never be over. We have to fight these bastards every day, from those who actually went to school there to their knuckle-dragging Walverine trolls.

  • The first reference to Aristotle in this thread was a crack at me for my reference to him in another thread ("we're michigan").

Basically, you guys are all idiots. One Spartan fan says that a tragic hero means a literary character with a flaw. You spend an entire thread bashin a guy over that misinformation. Aristotle was clear that the character had to be heroic first, not just a character. A hero like someone with good moral character, not just a main character. That "hero" assumption is where Dantonio's quote is laughable.

And, the fatal flaw is an error, mistake or misjudgment that brings him down. What Tressel did was an intentional act and he did it repeatedly for a long time.

It sounds like Brandstatter actually paid attention in class.

That error, or fatal flaw, was his personality which allowed him to perform the intentional act repeatedly.

    OMG

You have to be kidding me. What a clown.

The "tragic hero" most certainly applies. Dantonio clearly knows the literary reference and your media fan boy (like all other um fan boys) has no clue to the "tragic hero" concept as intended. He clearly took the hero comment and ran with it half baked. His history proves he is an idiot.

Know the characters you speak of and put down Aristotle for dummies.

How can you do an intentional act over a long period of time? So he's been withholding information on Terrelll Pryor for years?

I think Tressel is a d-bag, but Dantonio's comment was not to glorify him, it was to say that he was a decent guy (in Coach D's mind) and made one mistake that will ruin his legacy. Lucky for Tressel, tOSU fans won't let this get in the way - he brought home the crystal football and that is all that matters.

It's so funny to me how UM fans are so indignant about this when they were part of one of the worst scandals in college basketball yet seem to rationalize that one away. They are CURRENTLY on probation in football with a head coach that shred documents and was less that forthcoming to the NCAA.

I guess I'd hate Tressel that much too if he single-handedly destroyed your program. For that, MSU fans will always have a soft spot in their hearts for Coach Tressel.

Dantonio is a class act. You don't throw, life long friends under the bus.

They do have a relationship away from football. This fat cow can't rap his head around that. What a peice of garbage.

Dantonio said today that in the end, Tressel may end up being seen as a tragic hero. Clearly a shot at Dantonio.

I hate to say it, but he's right. I cringed when I heard Dantonio was defending Tressel. I understand that they're old friends, but calling Tressel a tragic hero is ridiculous. He's a dirty coach that got caught, plain and simple.

  • Jim Brandstatter takes a lot of crap from his better football playing brother and father. Maybe he's pissed that Duffy never recruited him despite his heritage. I think much of his Michigan career and beyond is him trying to prove his worth to his older Brother and Father.

That being said, I like him as the Lions color guy.

From the final part of the academic decathlon in the movie Billy Madison. The actor is Jim Downey (ty for Clarification) formerly of SNL. I couldn't find a good version to use for a sound board, so I decided to upload my own. What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. [HD] [CC] Available Don't post "_____ was here" or your comment will be deleted. Added quoting the video and posts that troll for vote ups. Don't like it, debate the merits of these posts or move on. Comment Awards I thought the Bungie.net emo responses were classic, but people that follow Fox News are even more entertaining. I've never seen such hilarious comments. MVP Mastersabersmen wins with the most insane comment. He attacks Squishyy123 calling him a Bigot for laughing at the video tags. I don't think he even knew what suishyy123 was saying. Ignorance really is bliss for some people. Honorable Mention Behemuth for his terribly ignorant flame fest and lack of a sense of humor. He comes so close; with insane amounts of ignorance; but you just can't top calling someone a bigot for laughing. Come on Behemuth you gotta try harder you ignorance level is high enough. You can do it, I believe in you. Old News Bungie.net you had a good run, but you just didn't have the dedication to keep things going.
