They've probably had it in the works for a while. I've heard facebook has 6 months or more of new features that are already coded in that they can just release when ever they want to. They probably weren't planning to release it this soon but after google +, it was a quick response.

google+ has group chat. fb chat is powered by skype and will probably not be used after a few weeks.

I still like Google+ more. I can't wait until they open it up for everyone, I think it is really going to take off.

I'm not sure - its gonna be interesting to see what happens. People are already so comfortable with facebook. Companies trust and want to be a part of facebook because they have 3/4 of a billion members. Instead of just making connections, social media is turning to a point of what can you do with those connections. I think we will see a lot of companies getting involved with Facebook and having "social apps".

Google has had some things that have failed - (buzz, google video, google answers, theres a few more) While Google is a great company, why make a partnership with Google+ that is just starting (and could fail) when they could partner up with Facebook?

gmail video chat is way better than skype quality-wise. I would assume that hangout is better than facebook video, considering its the same software.

they have to fix huddle and make it not mobile only. It seems stupid to have a feature only to people using the Android app. But that's splitting hairs on a beta program.

Even the thing for sending feedback with screenshots and blacking out personal information works pretty well.
