Father catches daughter's molester in the act, kills him

The justice system worked perfectly in this case...

Again, whether he "deserved to die" is not the issue.

Agreed. The costs to society of this dirt bag not being caught and dispatched, or of living a long life in prison are too much to warrant a different outcome. I have little faith in our legal system to prosecute and sentence this guy commensurate with the crime. Somehow, in a case like this, the punishment fit the crime as determined by a protective father and some element of chance. I have no problem with the outcome. Were I in the same situation, I have no doubt that my anger and desire to protect my daughter would have led to a similar outcome. The only difference is, this guy apparently felt remorse....

And what about the people who spent 10, 15 years on death row and are later exonerated? The criminal justice system in the United States isn't perfect but it's the best we've got and arguably one of the best in the world. When people take the law into their own hands and become vigilantes then the entire system potentially collapses. You get into an argument with your neighbor, no one is looking, you go inside grab a gun and shoot the guy and plant a knife in his hands.

Ain't that a bitch? News to you, people get away with crimes bro. Innocent people get convicted and guilty people get off. This really shouldn't be a shock to you. hammer

  • Not really. It depends on your psychological makeup. Some people can and be fine.
