My favorite is Georgia Tech. They're not members yet, but once they are, they will be my 2nd favorite team. Either them or Virginia Tech.

This is a difficult question, our in-conference foes have so many likeable attritbutes:
- Penn State systematically covered up and enabled the sexual abuse of helpless kids.
- Wisconsin: Bret Bielema and Bo Ryan (need I say more?).
- U-M thinks they've been at the top of the football chain forever, despite 1 national title since Israel gained independence.
- Ohio State is just plain dirty.

Northwestern. My brother went there and it was the first college athletic program I followed (I didn't grow up in the US).

My first college football game attended was a NU upset win over then-#6 tOSU in overtime. Not too shabby.
My first college basketball game was MSU vs. Kentucky in Austin (a few months before I actually attended MSU).

Used to be Purdue, I liked Keady and Tiller.
Then it was Northwestern, but the problem is ANY loss to them is a bad loss, so as much as I root for them, they're a pain in the ass.
Nowadays I've gravitated towards Illinois as my 2nd favorite Big Ten school. Knowledgeable basketball fans that respect Izzo and our program, the mutual support in '05, and they've beaten Michigan a few times as well in football.

NW fans are some of the nicest I've met. Went to the football game in Evanston in 2010 where we stormed the huge late game comeback, and I heard nothing but compliments from the NW fans sitting around me, telling me we had a great team, good luck, etc. Come to think of it, I was sitting right next to the student section and didn't have a single insult tossed my way. Kind of shocking when I look back on it.

Minnesota. Had great times with some sorority girls from there on spring break one year.
Other than that, Northwestern, where all the students seem friendly when you walk across campus, and then IU as it is a pretty nice campus.
How come nobody has mentioned Michigan?
