For everyone who loves The Wire, I'd definitely recommend checking out David Simon's latest series Treme. It's definitely NOT The Wire, but character development is fantastic, writing is excellent, and like The Wire, each season looks like they each will be focusing on different aspects of one larger "system". Season 3 is in the works. It won't be for everyone, but you'll be able to appreciate a lot of things in it you don't find much in other series.
The music in it is fantastic.

Treme is pretty awesome. Music is crazy good. Steve Zaan is hillarous and I hate the junkie dude.

Simmons said he's going to lead his staff to the vacants for that decision.
He also said that the 1-2 errors in the second round was because of whoever made the graphic and that it's going to be fixed before the matchups.

Well someone had to draw Omar as the 1st round match up. Might as well make it the most pathetic guy in the show. I loved him as a character, but it just seems so fitting that after all the dumb shit he screwed up and bad luck he gave himself that of course he get's Omar as his first matchup.

I just rewatched the first episode from season 2 and noticed another connection to Treme. In the final episode of Treme season 2 ("Do Whatcha Wanna"), Jacques and Janette are at the Fais Do Do stage at Jazz Fest and see The Iguanas perform "Oye, Isabel". That's the same song that is playing on Officer Russell's headphones when she's driving through the stacks before stumbling upon the shipping container full of dead hookers. That just blew my mind.
