A little confused. I think it is an injury to the oblique/ribs as he was grabbing it on the replay, but Jason Beck tweeted something to the effect of a middle finger injury.
Hopefully Below and the rest of the bullpen can hold the Sox down

Oblique's are tricky. Even with a strained oblique you could be out 1 game, or 2 weeks. A tear would be worst case scenario obviously, and I would assume it would even be worse for a pitcher than a position player, but my medical knowledge is extremely limited to non-existent. I am just going off what I recall from other players who have been injured with obliques

A couple summers ago I cracked some cartilage between my ribs while lifting weighgs (not even anything that heavy, more of a warm up) and I was unable to do much for 2 months. I think Mike Vick may have had something similar to this too this year.
