Is the talent level in the State of Michigan (for the class of 2013) just down as compared to other years?

Seems like it was a bit top heavy (Norman, Morris, Elmer, maybe Reschke) and then not that much depth.

I thought The Allan kid from Detroit King should be on here over Edwards. I can't picture a scenerio wehere Edwards gets an offer from us.

I think it is a solid year. The thing is all the top prospects besides Norman have already committed.

No. I believe all the top talent in michigan has already committed to um. Mich has the number one recruiting class so far.

it has been roundly considered to be a slightly down year for instate talent (by both MSU, UM, and midwest analysts). Not really down but a little down. As the other few posters mentioned, most of the top kids have already committed - which makes a below average year seem even worse.

I really do not think it is a down year. You have 7 consensus 4 star prospects this year, which is a bit better than last year. Maybe a bit more depth last year, but I think the top 10 are more highly regarded than last year.
