Football tix are on the way. Ticket office gets it right!

  • Just got the email that says the tickets are being mailed! We are getting them early for a change. Huge kudos to the ticket office for finally getting them shipped out early. So many years they didn't arrive untili the week before the first game. I'm not sure if they know how happy people are going to be and how much work and phone calls they saved themselves. anyway, thanks ticket office for listening and getting them out sooner, huge! So excited for this season!

    Please note - if you have ordered any of the following, they are mailed in different envelopes: parking pass, bus pass, single-game tickets or away-game tickets. If you have ordered chair backs they will be installed on your seats - please contact 800.601.1920 with any chair back questions.

    WHAT TIME IS THE GAME?
    Call 517.432.TIME or toll free 888.GO GREEN to confirm game times.

    WHO IS THE BIGGEST DBAG ON THE RCMB
    Well in theory there are a lot of them. Some secret UM homers, some haters, some basement dwellers. Overall it's a great forum that can literally suck hours of productivity away from your day if you aren't careful.

    WILL BRADY HOKE GET ANY BIGGER THIS YEAR
    Well, we aren't sure what is happening in AA but his waistline for sure doesn't yet match his ego and arrogance. He has fit in perfectly at UM.

    HOW LARGE OF A BAG CAN I TAKE INTO THE STADIUM?
    No bags/purses are allowed into the stadium. There will be no holding area for items not permitted into the stadium.

    WHAT TIME DO THE PARKING LOTS OPEN?
    7-9-1 Lots open 5-6 hours before the games on Saturdays, which is 7AM (noon games), 9AM (3:30 games) or 1PM for night games. Opening time for Friday, August 31st will be 3:30PM.

    ARE TICKETS AVAILABLE?
    Check www.msuspartans.com for ticket availability.

    ARE CHAIRBACKS ALLOWED?
    No. Chairs with backs cannot be brought into Spartan Stadium. Seat cushions with no back are allowed into the stadium. Permanent seatbacks can be ordered for your seats at 800.601.1920.

    WHAT AGE IS ADMITTED FOR FREE INTO SPARTAN FOOTBALL GAMES?
    Everyone, regardless of age needs a ticket to be admitted.

    STADIUM REGULATIONS
    Gates open 1.5 hours before kick-off & there is no re-entry
    Prohibited Items Include:
    - Alcohol
    - Containers of any kind
    - Food or Drink (one factory sealed 20 oz or smaller bottled water is allowed)
    - Bags
    - Cameras or radios larger than 5 ½ x 8 ½ x 2
    - Seatbacks
    - Cases, Video Cameras
    - Noisemakers
    - Banners or Signs
    - Smoking
    - Umbrellas
    - Strollers
    - Weapons

    not true...there are many very good ticket offices. Although professional teams tend to be much better than college teams. I suppose that is just the nature of the beast.

  • Also if I remember correctly, MSU got their tickets out very early last year as well. I am sure that because payments had to be in by May 1, that made things very easy with regards to getting the ticket files to the printer.

    I've got my tickets before the 10th for the last four years. So this thread does really apply to recent years. However In 2007, I did have to pick them up the Monday before the opener because "due to a computer glitch, no one whose last name starts with T-Z had their tickets printed on time."

  • Hmm, no email for me yet. My spartan fund account has the correct info for my tickets. Also shows parket ticket - quantity 1; no indication of the lot though. Hope that means I got a spot and I'm just waiting for lot selection.

  • Got the email saying tickets were in the mail. No indication on my parking pass though.

    I checked the Spartan Fund and it wasn't showing any assigned lot yet. But I have gotten charged for it already.

    That is one of the few remaining issues I have with the ATO. If you call the general line 3 times and ask the same question, there is a very good chance you will get a minimum of 2 different answers. I suppose you could chalk this up to having to hire 19 year old part time students.
