From his facebook post:
MSU gagged a outright title away. Period. Had two shots to take it and simply failed. Loss of Dawson is a killer. Now where people are waiting for this "crying" or "excuse" train is beyond me. Also love UM fans mocking a team they tied with and NEEDED TO LOSE in order to do so. 3 titles in 4 years. 2 final fours. I mean...mocking that? Possible 3rd run to come? No wonder Dery,Terry and I do so much "clean up" around here. Oh and just so its official...basketball matters now right? Wanna make sure what the rules are.
love it.

The one thing I disagree with is saying that UM needed MSU to lose. While technically true, it's disingenuous. UM played the most difficult part of their schedule earlier, while MSU played theirs later. Both teams ended up 13-5. If the situations were reversed, I certainly wouldnt say MSU "backed into" the title

But to say they "allowed" UM to win the title is not really accurate. UM beat several good teams. The point is simply this. If UM has started with Iowa, Minny, Purdue, PSU, Nebraska, and MSU had started with OSU twice, Wiscy, Indiana, you wouldn't say oh MSU needed UM to lose. Arguably the only reason UM had more losses is because they had played a more difficult schedule earlier.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.

LOLWUT? Favored at home SLIGHTLY perhaps, but not against Indiana on the road. Do you even bother to know the stats before you post crap? MSU was the third top FIVE team to go down there this year. I hardly think they rolled into Bloomington "favored" for anything.
