It would be nice to be considered a primary destination for LBers (ie Linebacker U). Exciting things happening here and a lot of it has to do with coaching stability IMO.

Former Spartan and current New Your Giant Greg Jones was the trailblazer in order for this to happen.

Coach D's regime is going to have quite a fleet of LB's in the NFL over the next few years.
We already own WR U and gaining on QB U- just a matter of time before we take another mantel!

Never existed. Just like the made up "don't recruit committed players" policy. Dantonio knows the recruiting game and plays it like everybody else. He's a little more cautious with his offers, but he's not the beacon of fairness that the fan boys wish him to be.

They made a point to say that they were only offering kids they saw in person for about 3 years or so and that's exactly how it happened. Joe Boisture was a prime example of this. Now, they have kids that they aren't sure about after their film and they have THEM come in and workout. For the most part, they are seeing all these players in camps earlier and earlier

I don't know if that was an actual policy, but there isn't really a choice anymore. The timeline is rapidly approaching hoops- you have to get in on the top guys earlier and earlier just to get a look.
Really need an early signing period.

I don't know that this policy exists. Might you be thinking about the don't accept a committment before visiting policy? Even then, that went by the wayside with Benenoch. However, that seemed to be the exception.
