  • hes visited wisconsin before and loved the city. Reports are that he fell back in love with it again. So no, it's not based off of just 1 visit. By the way, just because he doesn't like Ohio State, doesn't mean he's not going to like Wisconsin either. Not sure what that has to do with it. We'll see tonight.

    Because MSU and OSU were neck and neck before he visited Columbus? also, I don't remember Wisconsin leading for him at any point during this recruiting cycle (maybe I'm wrong)

    That was before he arrived in Madison. From all reports he has been wowed by his stay in madison. He has enjoyed it so much that he made the necessary adjustments (per your mod) to extend his stay to receive the full amount of time in madison that he possibly could. I haven't seen anything that he was recruiting while he stayed on campus. I think he picks Wisconsin tonight over MSU.

    Hey sInce our mods are so gracious and letting you post over here how about you go over to the UW board and tell them to grow a pair.

    These types of threads are great and have entertainment value. By allowing them perhaps someone will post on your boar more than once an hour.

  • I'd be surprised if he picked Wisconsin. Wouldn't be surprised at any of the other three, really.

    He's been much higher on PSU than most insiders have suggested from the beginning, but nobody really knows at this point how he feels. He's seemed to enjoy the recruiting process by taking so many visits.

    I guess I'm confused - if Cox was so high on Wisconsin beforehand, why was he trying to decide between Wisconsin and ND for his last official visit?

    My gut unfortunately says MSU.

    Thanks for the info; gotta think that though O'Brien will be a good recruiter in the long run (NFL coaches tend to recruit well in college), this Super Bowl run is inhibiting PSU's efforts.

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

    One thread maybe asking about if MSU will sweep the UW basketball team and one previewing the football game in Madison next year.

    That is if there is anyone here who hasn't been given the hammer over there.

    Even Badger mods think that he's going to MSU. I did think it was funny that there was a post that said "There were reports that he fell in love with the city before so maybe he did again?" and then you come over here and repeat that as a report.

    Maybe, but I don't think it's as much as you'd think. BOB can only do so much - it's the rest of the staff that needs to do most of the work. And O'Brien did have an in-home visit with Cox late last week.

    You should be rooting for MSU, if not PSU. You see us twice every five years; the others are yearly. Unless the LGT means that much...

  • That sounds like A LOT of Bucky spin. We have this one person saying how much he loves Wisconsin and that all these 'reports' are saying he is all over Wisconsin's knob, then you have the rest of the internet pointing to msu. You have OSU people, reputable people, thinking msu. You have espn and other recruiting services saying msu. Wisconsin wasn't even in the picture until now, today, his announcement day when you came to our board and starting saying how he loves UW.

    How does that add up??

    Oh, don't worry, I am. If PSU isn't his choice, I'd much prefer to see him go to MSU. He's just a recruit we desperately need at this point - which is why I said "unfortunately."
