Fringe the show

  • Is it any good? I love x-file esque scifi mystery show. I was wondering if anyone has seen this show and recommends it?any other show like twilight zone or x files that you recommend?

  • Fringe isn't just good it is phenomenal, you should definitely check it out, one tip though make sure you stick with it, the beginning of the first season is slow regarding the mythology arc but it really picks up near the end of the season and gets better and better as it goes along, as for others to recommend here is a link of scifi shows that have been recommended

    also include last yrs "Awake" as show that is pretty interesting show although it go cancelled, the ending is satisfying enough

    if you like straight up Mysteries the tv show "Sherlock" is fantastic as well

  • It's very good. Starts slow IMO. At first you think you are Going to despise the mighty ducks kid but he gets better.

    At this point, I'd wait until the last season hits DVD so you can watch em all marathon style

    I wouldn't wait it is worth getting in to right now then you can watch the last season live. It deserves more time even though next year is the last yr it shouldn't be. The more people that watch it live the better. I also not sure why Joshua Jackson bothers you everyone on that show are great actors, including their guest stars and especially John Noble.

  • I watched the first 3 episodes of Sherlock and it's great, wish they did 12 60 minute episodes instead of the 4 80 minute episodes.

  • It's good, but not great. The writers need to stick to the sci-fi stuff because the dialogue between the characters gets awkward sometimes, especially with the main character - Olivia. I don't think she's a very good actress, so maybe that's part of where the awkwardness comes from. That's just my opinion, but with that in mind I still think that the show is worth watching.

    really Anna Torv is not a good actress? confused With all parts and nuances she has done with her characters it takes a fantastic actress to do that. Anna has to play Olivia very rigid and awkward because that is who she is as a character.

    This is what I thought the first few episodes, but I agree with the guy who said it is just the character. I have actually come to really like her in the show over the last few seasons of watching it.

    I don't mind her as the original universe version so much, it's the red head version that really bothers me for some reason. It feels like she's trying too hard. Maybe you guys are right and it's just the writing for her character(s).

  • Fringe is awesome. It's probably as close as any show has been to matching the X-Files for me. My girlfriend and I have been watching Supernatural lately. It's in a similar vein and it's okay, but it doesn't stand up against Fringe or the X-Files.

  • Holy shit. I just finished season 2 and this is amazing. I am surprised I didnt discover this show before. Saeson 2 by far got this show going. But Walternate seems like a douche. I hope they dont turn fauxvilia into an asshole in season 3. I liked olivia lol
