I found this thread on the Oklahoma board and its seems like a good temporary fix. Anyone know how to get this to work for us?

New, easier Firefox install instructions.
This removes the whitespace from the right third of the pages and stretches the thread list and thread replies to fill it.
For Firefox.
Install the stylish add-on:

Just switched to FireFox with it, works a little better there's not a loading time for the style to apply so that's better.
Now Barnes just has to figure out how to make the forums load quicker in general

Ya the site is completely in java and it bogs it down. Firefox 4 beta has a brand new java engine and the site loads significantly faster with it compared to chrome and firefox 3.6

To get rid of the Twitter and Facebook icons in FF:
Assuming you have AdBlock right click the Twitter icon. Click Adblock plus: block image form the list. Click the custom box. That part is very important. The custom text should say |http://media.247sports.com/Content/img/btn_tweet.png. Click add filter. Do the same for the other button and they shouldn't appear any more.
It may work for avatars and signatures but I haven't tried it yet.
