Game tickets as low as $13 a pair Stub Hub

  • Spartan toof said...

Seriously I just dont understand not making this game unless you truly have some unavoidable obligation that day. Money should not be an issue even for students. After stubhub fees and shipping a $13 ticket is about $35. Go to price line and get a hotel by naming your own price. I was able to get a 3.5 star for $50 ($64 after taxes). Could likely get a worse hotel for even cheaper. Go with a friend and split the cost. You could potentially go to this game for $100 if you ate cheap and split gas money.

This is probably true, but there were plenty of times when I was a student when I didn't have $100 to my name, especially towards the end of semesters. And rightly or wrongly, it seems that a lot of alumni from both schools are more worried about being able to afford a trip to Pasadena.

It's not the fall of 2008, but the economy still sucks and it's not really surprising that a football game in the rust belt failed to sell out.

  • I have used Stub Hub several times and I have alwasy been happy with the results. I will be spending the game in the Beast rather than going to the game. I just do not have the time or funds.

  • Grab Grandma and the twins and throw them in the back of the pickup. Call every Spartan you know and guilt-trip them into going. Just think of all the electricity you'll use staying if you stay home and watch it on that big-screen TV.

All the crap about UM getting a BCS spot is because they "draw the crowds." We'll never have a better chance to show the selection committee how well the Spartans support their team. Get your ass to the damn game!

Give a man a beer, waste an hour. Teach a man to brew, waste a lifetime.

  • You don't think this has to do with the game do you?

"Saturday night event in downtown Indianapolis needs seat-fillers. Total number of seat-fillers needed will vary based on crowd.

Must tolerate loud noise and crowds. Event will last all evening on Saturday night. All ages, sexes, races, etc.

Please use contact e-mail. Event planner will follow-up with exact details on location for staging of seat-fillers (additional information and instruction provided there)."

This should be a lesson for the Chicago area MSU Alumni Association leaders. Plan ahead, get the details for chartering a bus or two for this game in case MSU wins the division in the future. There should be no problem filling them up with the number of MSU alums in Chicagoland.

Couldn't agree more. Just look at how crowded all the bars get for a game like this. Not to mention, Chicago is closer than East Lansing. Seems like it'd work out quite well for them.

So it's basically Nebraska and other fans trying to resell their tickets. They really were confident before the year started.

  • I'm in!

Will keep an eye on tickets on Stub Hub today and tomorrow but otherwise planning on heading down ticketless and will just buy something on the street. Guessing there will be people dumping good tickets on Sat.

  • Driving back to the Chicago-area myself. Shouldn't be too bad with 3 people to split the driving.

  • I'm thinking that I'm going to drive the old man down to Indy for the game. I told him I'd get the tickets if he got the gas and food. I think that's a good deal for everybody

Shit at this price it will be cheaper to attend than my local high school games!

  • No reason we should not represent strong in Indy. These prices are nuts

  • Seems like tickets are going quickly. looking for a friend and it seems that were down to 4500 on stubhub. Some deals but they're all in the 600 level. I bet we'll be looking at a pretty full house, if not completely full.

Seemed to be a lot of overreaction by the media and michigan fans when the market was flooded with neb, osu, and psu fans dumping their tickets, and spartans "fans" hoping to make a profit.

Something just happened. 5000 tix disappeared and they're not concentrated in just one part of the arena. Very strange

  • Mother in Law is on board to watch the kids this weekend. The wife and I are now going to the game. Thanks OP, chalk up two more Spartans in Indy thanks to this thread.

  • Just got 2 tickets in the 7th row for ~150. We better win this bad boy.

The cutoff for mailing tickets for everyone but 'trusted sellers' probably just passed.

  • Just copped a pair of the $13 tickets in the upper deck. Could have gotten better tickets by spending more but I'm happy to be going at all.

EDIT: with the fees and $19.95 overnight shipping, it ended up being like $51 total. Not bad. $25 and change each.

  • $19.95 for fedex overnight. Delivery Friday. I'm debating picking up some super cheap tickets now as a "safety" and look to upgrade from scalpers once we get down there.

  • Mannn, it's comical how badly botched this ticket thing is. I just messed around on the ticketmaster website and pulled up 8(!) together in section 113, 15th row. Section 113 is the 50 yard line. I already have my tickets and I'm happy with them, but it's just brutal that 72 hours away from the game these tickets are now being available after not being available past times they've sold tickets. Everytime tickets have been up for sale in the past they've either "sold out" or corners in the upperdeck are the only thing available.

It's kind of funny/sad the B1G decided to puff their chest out and tout the demand for this game for months and now that the game is days away they are now struggling to sell seats on the 50 yard line because it's either too late or many were/are under the impression the game was sold out. It's also pretty lame MSU decided to do the same as I'm sure when it was announced many MSU fans either decided to skip the game entirely or buy seats not in the MSU sections so they are more scattered. For those still looking, plenty of good pairs are still available in the MSU section for face with a free pickup at will call. http://ev9.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventInfo?ticketCode=GS%3AMICH%3AF11%3ABTC%3A&linkID=michst&shopperContext=&pc=&caller=appList&appCode=&groupCode=F&cgc=

The 600 level tix being available for cheap never has surprised me. Back when I was debating to buy tickets months ago these were the ones I could find. I'm sure fans of the other 10 schools not playing scooped them up and thought as a fall back plan they could scalp them for profit later. Too bad for them 10K+ other fans had similar plans as well.

Here's the link to ticketmaster if you want to sit 15 rows up on the 50 with 7 of your friends for face value as MSU plays for the Rose Bowl. http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/050046D1062DCE7F?majorcatid=10004&artistid=1620971&minorcatid=8

Stubhub has some kind of cut off where they don't allow people to ship them anymore. Don't know how those 4,000 are sold though

Well everything on Stub Hub is "sold." It's whether 4000 tickets actually changed hands today.
