Yes yes a thousand times yes. The link isn't working, but if it's talking about RISUG (link provided) then yes. One injection into the vas deferens and no possibility of babies for at least 10 years. And completely reversible.
Why the hell wouldn't a man do this if they had the opportunity?

Unless I'm interpreting this wrong, you'll still have a "loaded gun" as you say, it will just shoot non-lethal rubber pellets. You can think of yourself as the ELPD.
