    There was a whole article written the previous year that essentially was him bragging how he was a dirty player and his teammates saying how he cheap-shotted opponents to get them riled up. So you've got William Gholston called a "thug" and a "dirty player" because of a few plays in one game mainly because UofM fans are the whiniest fans in the NCAA while Lewan, a self-noted dirty player, skates by scot-free.

    This can only be from the following teams if it did indeed occur the week after the game: Minnesota and Northwestern as they were the only Big Ten teams we played before MSU. This sounds fabricated to me. roflmao lol roflmao

    So if he doesn't like it it's clearly fabricated...and someone should send video to every reporter in the country asap! This is an outrage! it's been 7 months for god's sake....when will we see justice served?!?!?!?!?

I am not your typical Michigan fan because I always cheer any team from Michigan as long as they are not playing my Wolverines, and I respect the way Dantonio has taken the Spartans from mediocrity to respectability very quickly. You just gotta wonder why all these 4 and 5 star guys or coming to East Lansing. I have heard rumors that he is a little dirty and the NCAA is quietly looking into some of his recruiting practices. I hope they are clean, because I've enjoyed the rivalry. "

    Somehow the media focused on the Gholston punch which in my opinion is not a huge deal. He was retaliating and frustrated.

    The thing I don't understand is how State fans feel a blatant neck twist which could legitimately hurt someone long term is not a big deal. It wasn't in the middle of a play and was completely unprovoked. I don't know how that gets a pass.

    I sure hope your local walmart is stocked with tissues and tampons

    Michigan fans screaming bloody murder and calling for him to be arrested for assault is the reason why it gets a pass from most. The fan reaction was beyond ridiculous. It was just something that Michigan fans pointed to in order to show that they didn't lose, but MSU played dirty and that's why we won....even though the main reason that Michigan was close was due to MSU being called for every single infraction possible while Michigan was not called for hardly anything that they did. That stuff happens in every single game in pileups and everyone knows it. Is it right? Is it good sportsmanship? Of course not. Even Gholston apologizes for letting the game get in his head. The guy has never had a personal foul in any other game in his career. He's not a dirty player. Who knows why people do that stuff in scrums after plays? People do it to try to rattle the opposition. Doesn't make it right, however. He wasn't trying to break Denard's neck even though I'm sure it's the Michigan consensus that he was.

    Do you seriously think if Gholston wanted to break shoelaces neck that he would be able to walk today? Think of how strong he is. He could have snapped his neck like a twig if he wanted too. It's a scare tactic and stuff like that happens every single game whether you want to believe it or not.

    It's a very good comment. I honestly think that Gholston's punch at Taylor Lewan was the least of his offenses that day. The neck-twist on Denard (a move intended to injure that was barely short of assault and battery) and the original arm-bar on Lewan (also with intent to injure) were far worse.

    Don't forget Marcus Rush's personal foul roughing the passer penalty on Denard, which would surely have earned Rush a fine were it committed in the NFL.

    Feldman nicely glossed over Gholston's friend mentor coach fixer "guy" Archie Collins, who steered Gholston to MSU and promptly got a Spartan job for his efforts.

    Will Gholston; quite possibly the only only extravagantly-talented 5-star whom I am glad went to MSU. A sociopath.

    It is a thug program that Dantonio and Narduzzi are running. "Sixty minutes of unneccessary roughness." Feldman missed that charmer of a quote; Jim Delany didn't. I just wish that a videographer from the Saints could get to spend more time with Sparty.
