What I find interesting about this story is that Gregg Allman is still alive. I wonder what kind of odds you could have gotten on that around 40 years ago.

I've never seen Gregg play guitar before (I think he does a little and I just haven't seen it only seen him play keyboards). Duane on the other hand died at age 24.

Gregg played guitar a little right after Duane died. He also plays guitar on some songs with his solo band and once in a while with the ABB.

I just met him about an hour ago. Went to his book signing at the Barnes and Noble in Union Square. He couldnt have been nicer, but man he is not looking good. I hope he gets some rest after this book signing tour. He has a long summer of touring ahead of him.

Back to the topic at hand though....his new fiance is most definitely smoking. Good for him I guess.

Same here. Greatest live show in earth imo. Hope he can get healthy before the summer tour starts. I'd rather see them cancel the tour than send Gregg out there if he's not well.
