Gonna go with Hans Zimmer here, although you can't go wrong with John Williams either. Reznor is good but in terms of soundtracks I don't think he comes close to the other two.

Depends on the type of movie. I'm a huge fan of all three. Probably Reznor because I think he's got more than one style.

As awesome as John Williams is, I'd probably go with Hans Zimmer. He's done some of my favorite scores, minus Harry Potter (Williams) and the first Pirates of the Caribbean (Klaus Badelt, but Zimmer did the rest).
If you've ever heard the soundtracks to The DaVinci Code or Angels & Demons, those are the main reason I love him--MSU's winter colorguard actually performed to music from Angels & Demons my senior year. Awesome stuff.
