I'm a teacher. In one of my honors classes the other day, the subject of global warming came up. The usual suspects started clucking their tongues and announcing what a big con it was. For some reason fingergun, the kid who was the biggest global warming pooh-pooher segued briefly into the subject of ghosts--he announced that he DID believe in those ... and quite a number of other kids agreed with him. I should have asked for a show of hands on each count (who believes global warming is real and caused by human activities? Who believes in ghosts?). I didn't, but the whole little episode was incredibly surreal.

  • Does not believing in ghosts automatically translate into not believing in a god?

Not surprising. More Americans believe in ghosts than evolution.

Looks like not all of the kids are being brainwashed into believing that faith based politically driven movement that preys on the gullible and the weak minded.

The good things about honors students is that when they are allowed to take evidenced based approaches with their thought processes, they are able to get themselves out of the pool of group of think better than others.
