Has anyone seen The Dictator?

So a buddy of mine is trying to get me to see this with him tonight. After how bad Bruno was, I'm not sure about paying for another Sacha Cohen movie in the theatres.
Is this movie any good? Actually worth paying for?

I had low expectations going into the movie.... but was laughing the majority of the movie if you keep your mind in the gutter....

saw it and wish i hadn't. sure it has moments, but it's just a fucking stupid premise. i wish he'd bring back the old Ali G series where he'd actually do an interview and fuck with the person being interviewed. that made for some great moments.

It would never work now. Too many people know his schtick(s). So, in a way, he's exactly like Nucky.

It's a Sacha Baron Cohen movie. You already know what's happening. That said it had some funny parts but it was nothing different then his other stuff but with a less hot costar.

Incredibly, people continue to fall for Daily Show interviews.
The Dictator was exactly as I expected. Stupid movie with a bunch of funny scenes.

I don't think his ideas have changed much and I don't envision too many future movies based on his creations.

Just got out of the theater. Better than I expected. Tons of hilarious over the top racism. However, I always question a movie that goes out of its way to avoid showing boobs, but shows full dong.

This was my situation as well. The last movie I saw in the theater before tonight was Bruno like 3 years ago, but I liked Da Ali G show so much when it was on HBO that I can still be convinced to see his movies.
The birthing scene was really dumb, but overall I wasn't disappointed. It was far enough out there to be pretty funny.

i don't get it, i think they are mis interpreting the awkwardness in the theater as laughs...its the only reason why comedies keep dropping dong in their films.
The worst movie offender in history was any given sunday.

On Amazon/Netflix streaming now. I keep reaching to turn it off during the crap bits and then it cracks me up again. That bit in the helicopter is awesome.
