Hats off to Trey Burke

Why? We don't owe that fuck anything other than harassment when he plays at the Breslin Center. Fuck him.

    No. Fuck YOU. Shit stain.

  • Cannot blame the officials when you are tied with 32 seconds left and the ball and you turn it over. Then you have a chance with 4 seconds left and you turn the ball over again.

  • Staring Keith down multiple times, laughing like a child when anything is called on him, turning and yelling at TV Ted for a foul after a lay up, the whole sequence where he schooled our guys after all 5 slapped the floor for a layup, got a stop, alley oop and slapping the floor himself as if to say fuck you to MSU.

Yeah, much like Darius "this is MY court" Morris, this kid can go fuck himself. No respect for him, his game, or his antics. The NBA, however, will love him I'm sure.

And your living at the free throw line and being in the double bonus for the last 8 minutes let you back in the game. Stop whining like a bitch and act with pride like most of your fellow MSU fans.

I'm sorry, how many FTs did we shoot during that stretch to bring us "back into the game?" And why exactly did we lose the lead? Wait, I think burke just leaned into someone, then threw the elbow to clear space again...

Why are you praising him? He's a whiny bitch on the court. Seriously?

MAN, I LOVE THE WAY HE SWEARS AT REFS. WHAT CLASS! GOOD LUCK IN THE NBA!!

Sweet melt. If we had him as our pg instead of Appling, we'd be #1 in the country and national title favorites.

    Show some class and respect.

Am I gonna get banned for this post? lol

  • Homedepot, Craft, Burke- all guys that are mentally tough. MSU does not have that type of player yet.

So in your book all good players deserve complete respect even though they play dirty? Got it.

I think this is all why the college basketball "experts" are saying he's a sure fire first round lottery pick.

As for burke, he makes some great plays, but has a garbage game. His move is to lean into you, get you moving off-balance and then push off with the elbow to clear space. He cuts people all the time. He also got the benefit of a ton of pulling moving screens. Good player who gets away with a ton on O due to rep, just like craft on D. He should have gotten a charge called on the run-down of Trice where he passed to gramps for the dunk. and for the blatant elbow he threw to Appling that also should have been reviewed for a T.

Hats off to John Beilein for recognizing the fact that the way to beat MSU, especially with TV Teddy on the floor, is to coach your players to flop like bitches every chance they get. Those three or four offensive fouls in two minutes early in the second half completely changed the complexion of the game.

On the flip side, those fouls toward the end of the game, could have won it for MSU.

This shows you don't know much BB. He has two 3-point shooters on either side to open the floor for him and his bigs are allowed to set moving screens all day. Hard to guard a solid PG with that set-up. Is the perfect O for him. He also doesn't have to give it up in the post, so he gets the whole O to run through him.

I love Mental after a loss. Hell, even after a win it's pretty much the same thing.

  • Michigan would be horrible without Burke. I think we could get by fairly well without Appling. Burke has the toughness that Appling is lacking, you need someone that can get a little bit nasty on the court at that position. Hate him all you want but this team would cakewalk to the championship with Burke on our side.

  • Michigan was not hitting the three. Why didn't we just sag in and if they drive to the basket they will get a charge the way we did.

Lets not forget about his push off on every drive that goes uncalled. It really is unreal the shit he gets away with. I can't wait to see how refs treat that shit come tourny time.

Too much logic with this and too realistic an assessment to have any place in this forum.

(However, I totally agree with your view.)

    Why not refute it?

And btw, we didn't lose because of the refs. But burke's performance was aided by them, for sure. I played PG for years, I'd nut punch that mother fucker in a pick-up game if he was throwing elbows and under cutting me like that all game. Kid has skills, and he has developed a style of play that creates openings and lanes for himself that is based of off body contact and push-offs.

Burke owned Appling...no getting around that. It comes down to Michigan has much better PG play and MSU has taken a huge step down from PG's of previous years.

Izzo needs a PG leader to really make huge runs, we don't have it this year. end of story.

What's to refute? He's a great player with a whole bag of tricks. That's pretty much every NBA point guard ever.

He's so good, I think he should go pro next year. Let's encourage him. Stone-cold assassin. Just made for the next level. In fact, he should probably quit now to avoid potential career-ending injury. Just sayin'.

    BS.

His elbow to Appling not only should have been called, but should have been reviewed and possibly a T for being thrown to Appling's head. No idea why they didn't go to the monitors to check that.

And his flop at mid-court, with the 3 steps of BS eruo-soccer face and fish-out-of-water movements would have been a fine this year in the NBA.

Very talented player who has a ton of junk in his game.
