Hats off to Trey Burke

  • You guys are yelling at him for yelling at our bench and taunting our players. Didn't Keith do the same thing in EL after he hit a three.

He's so good, I think he should go pro next year. Let's encourage him. Stone-cold assassin. Just made for the next level. In fact, he should probably quit now to avoid potential career-ending injury. Just sayin'.

Don't need to encourage him--- he is gone! No way he gets any higher on the nba draft boards than he will be this year. I think Olidopo is the poy in the bt but without burke um would be a 500 team at best. He and hardaway will both go and um will be a middle of the pack team in 2013/14. And I don't think that they will get very far into the big dance this year with really just burke doing it all--- if they don't get bt officiating they might not win any games!!

  • Trey Burke is no doubt a talented player. One of the best, if not THE best point guard in the nation. If he wasn't on scUM they would be a bubble team. Dude carries that team. His steal on App to take the lead was big time but Keith needs to hold on to that shit. I give him all the credit. However, he gets away with a lot of bullshit. He pushes off all day and gets away with it. Refs give him star treatment. Its bullshit. I hate him. I hate Michigan. Fuck Michigan. We'll be fine. We're still the better team. Dude can ball, but fuck him, he's a bitch.

He came up huge for UM. 21 pts, 8 assists, 5 steals, 4 rebounds, 1 block.

    Dominated Appling this game.

Yes, blah blah the refs sucked and we hate UM, but he played a great game.

He is one of the best players in the Big 10, a close second to Indiana Oliedipo...

This is the reason they will get eliminated in the NCAA Tournament before the sweet 16

    BS.

His elbow to Appling not only should have been called, but should have been reviewed and possibly a T for being thrown to Appling's head. No idea why they didn't go to the monitors to check that.

And his flop at mid-court, with the 3 steps of BS eruo-soccer face and fish-out-of-water movements would have been a fine this year in the NBA.

Very talented player who has a ton of junk in his game.

If you and I are thinking of the same play, there was also a moving screen and elbow by Mcgary along with the push off elbow from Burke.

Michigan would be horrible without Burke. I think we could get by fairly well without Appling. Burke has the toughness that Appling is lacking, you need someone that can get a little bit nasty on the court at that position. Hate him all you want but this team would cakewalk to the championship with Burke on our side.

and to that point, UM may be screwed next year. Albrecht is a trainwreck liability.

to this point, doesn't slapping the floor mean "bring it on/this is my court"? people ripping burke for doing it in response to MSU players doing it doesn't make much sense at home...

Albrecht is a cringe-worthy substitution every time. he'll need to step his game up BIG TIME for this UM team to sniff a chance at the B1G championship. at best they may be a 9-10 seed without him with how they're playing now.

Its bad that you don't have a sub good enough to get burke 5-7 minutes of rest. when he's playing 38-40 minutes its not good.

Yup that team is 2-dimensional. They can Trey Burke and they can shoot streaky 3's. Without Burke they're not very good at anything. Their front court is weak at best, they play bad defense and they have nobody else to take the game over. Next year is going to be rough for them, coming down to earth. It's crazy what a PG that can make great decisions with the ball and take it to the rack with little time on the shot clock will do for you.

Chiming in just to shed some light, next year we have Derrick Walton coming in at PG who is extremely highly regarded. Is he going to be Trey Burke? Hell no. Any Michigan fan who claims we wont take a step back is wrong, but the kid is supposed to be very good and we may not digress as much as some think. Also, we have Zak Irvin coming in who will be a stud from the get-go. 3rd kid is Mark Donnal, who is a 6'9" PF that can shoot the rock. I'm not sure if you guys know our future basketball commits/even care, but I was just presenting this for those who were wondering.

It was taunting. He slapped the court after msu did it, which was not all that bad, but then did it again after, or just at the same time it was obvious msu was calling a time out, as he ran toward the msu bench/Appling calling the timeout. Not long after is when he stared and yelled at Appling after being "fouled". He was being a little bitch.

  • Burke has a VERY punch-able face.

    PortlandSpartan

  • Trey Burke is the basketball version of Mike Hart. Same no-name recruit that they lucked out on, same pain in the ass, and same cocksucker attitude. Only difference is that he'll probably stay in the NBA for longer than a season.

This Michigan team reminds of the Cavs with LeBron - one individual making a bunch of bums seem better than they are. Unfortunately for the Wolverines, they won't ever have a player with his talent again. I'd go as far as saying he's the best all-around player in their history. Who's better? Glen Rice, great scorer... Chris Webber, don't recall him playing any games... Brent Petway, maybe.

With that being said, nice pansy-ass flop at half court.
