Ask and you shall receive.... MSU has won 9 out of 14 faceoffs so far, just 2 minutes left in the first period, still no score.

Disappointing end to a fairly decent period for the Spartans. When they can stay out of the box I thought they did a good job on the forecheck. I was fairly impressed with the young defensive pair of Holland and Boyd. I thought they had a strong period.
