Home Depot MSU paint question

Went to buy a gallon today and realized its the old green. Anyone have any luck finding a color that looks like the new green???? Thanks

Find something with the new green and take it to them. They can do a color match.

I don't know about home depot. In the southeast sherwin williams has most of the state contracts so they have color formulas on file for stadium and university. I would call ur local sherwin williams and ask them. They will be able to make the exact green you want.

CMYK: C:82 M:0 Y:64 K:70

I tried this at my local HD and the person there told me none of their paint brands use any of those numbers in their computer. They did have a green swatch that was really close that I used and looks good.
It's worth a try anyway. It's a good possibility that she had no idea what she was doing.

I learned something about this when trying to create a "green screen" for video use. The color spectrum of paint is limited. It turned out that, even though I could find an online converter for some paint lines, there was no matching paint color for the green screen pantone - you just couldn't get paint that intense of a green.
On the other hand, MSU's green seems like it should be easily attainable with paint.

Sherwin Williams. If you are not in the Lansing area and your store is unsure of the mix, have them call the Lansing or Okemos stores for the correct info.

Take a sample in to lowe's , they will color match it with a spectrometer. May not be exact but will be damn close.

Wish I had seen this about 4 months earlier when I painted my basement the old green with what they had at Home Depot. Fortunately it still looks pretty good.
