  • Hostess just pulled off the greatest marketing campaign ever. After saying that sales were down anyways, they managed to clear all product from stores in 24 hours. Brilliant.

    The Judge should make any deal contingent on Hostess replacing it's management with people who understand marketing and know how to develop new products.

    Exactly, they will be back in the same place regardless in a year if they don't make some major changes, they need to cut half their lines and focus on their money items, fire some management so they can hire anyone who understands marketing, and then in a year put together a good YOUNG (also cheap) product development team to actually put together some new lines that aren't just repackages of the same mediocre cake and filling in different shapes.
