How confident are you that we will beat UM?

    It's ranking is superior, but Michigan's D is not superior to ND's.

    Just like MSU ranking is superior to LSU's, but does anyone think MSU has the better defense?

    Comparing MSU defense to LSU as an anology to UM defense against ND is not very fair. If ND has a better defense than UM it would be negligible at best. LSU is ferocious and you just went too extreme with your comparison for it to be credible. But your a biased MSU fan so I understand.

    The way you are discounting ND's schedule (compared to UM) is just laughable though.

    Im not overly impressed with the ND schedule, they have not played any great offenses. Michigan and MSU are the best they played and lets be honest MSU has really struggled on the offensive line and running the ball. I guess im not as impressed with the ND schedule as most.

  • Don't think any of this matters. All it takes is a momentum change by scUM and they are in a game. Defense HAS to be lights out. Denard is fast. Cousins has to be mistake free all game. We could be beating them like NW all game and then.................

    They have a lighting attack that we need to be very, very aware of. I expect Borges to lull our D to sleep with some stuff they have used before, then unleash a bunch of new plays we have never seen......

    MSU's D gave up 275 yards to ND's on the road. Michigan's D gave up 516 to ND at home. That's the only common opponent. Those are facts.

    Fuck no....MSU will have regressed during the bye week. M is the only team that practices really hard before big rivalry games. And just because M's offense is essentially identical to last year doesn't mean anything....Borges is a genius.

    USF: 10th in the country
    Michigan: 14th in the country
    Purdue: 50th in the country
    MSU: 61st in the country
    Pitt: 76th in the country

    Average: 36.5

    Michigan's opponents offensive rankings:
    WMU: 31st
    Notre Dame: 21st
    EMU: 104st
    SD St.: 63rd
    Minnesota: 110th
    Northwestern: 71st

    Average: 66.6

    ps I'm still at a 9 after seeing the umaa give up 23 points. They will face the first good defense on their schedule next Saturday at noon. After that the road doesn't get easier.

    What about mother-in-laws? I remember one time tanfan was posting on here drunk while watching his mother-in-law bending over at Christmas time or something. Its funny when a guy like that tries to act all up in arms about someone saying something about his wife. He certainly doesn't respect her. The guy is pitiful.

    We could use a defensive score. I am surprised at how good scum has looked - they are tough and we better come with our A game. It's time to pull it all together cuz we are going to need it.

    DR is a special talent - probably the most talented guy on the field Saturday. We can't let him beat us and I don't think we will.

    I generally agree Moose, but the discussion was who was better between ND and UM defensively and he went into the weeds and brought MSU defense up for some reason??? I just responded.
