How long does it take you to use 10 checks?

Ha. Probably a year or two, to be honest. The only thing I use it to pay for is water (quarterly) and insurances (either 6 months or 12 months, depending on the plan).

I am 30 and have never written a check. Everything including mortgage is online.

I think I wrote about half of them to my wife and kids or a friend for booking airline tix, etc..oh and I got a guy that kills gophers for me ..that's 3 of them.
Another was my property taxes. Not sure how I'd pay them since I do them once a year. I should tear up my check book and just see how I can get it done for the rest of my life. It ought to be pretty easy..

I did not think I wrote many... Two cars, 1 mortgage, 1 gas, 1 electric each month. 1 water/sewage, 1 trash quarterly... we recently moved so I need to elecrtonify some of that but you guys still beat me on less. I never use them for regular purchases though...

I really wish I could pay my rent online. Checks are like fax machines... mostly irrelevant, but still alive because of old people.

I got my first box of checks in 2003ish I think, I needed a second box of checks in 2012. Switched to "totally green" at MSFCU so I didn't have to pay $15 bucks for what should be the last box of checks I ever get.

I pay my office cleaning by check once a week. She's illegal as hell and has her nephew cash them for her. I pay my parents in checks for whatever. I also pay friends in checks whenever possible to inconvenience them, and I write vulgar shit in the "note" line. Now that I think about it I write a lot of checks, probably way more than anyone here or my age anywhere.

You should be paying an illegal in cash only...Even if she has someone legal cash the checks for her your name can be traced back to her. Then, yer fucked.

They give you way too many when you order them too. I am still using checks that have the address of a house I haven't lived in in 2+ years, and have like 2 more full books still to go before I need to order more.
