WTF is wrong with you? That's your child that you basically called stupid. It's not your child's fault in this situation. Regardless if your ex is the biggest cunt of all time, you have a kid and you take care of your kid. You would still be paying that kind of money towards your child if you were together.

Child support is not fun. I've only got 4 years more of it.
Before you all go off on me consider this...I have my kids 3 days a week, my ex has her 4 days a week.
That's 4 days a month more with my ex than with me...I pay for her health and dental insurance and cell phone and $600 a month on top of that in child support. My ex's parents recently passed and she came into about 150k....but I write the check every month.
It's still better than being married...

I didn't say stupid. And I have paid my support on time plus years of basketball, football, baseball, etc above and beyond my order. I am sick of being dragged back to court by someone who refuses to take care of her own half of the equation. If I were a dick I would quit my job and work for cash so I could claim I had no income.

Not in Indiana. Plus the state finally lowered the age of majority to 19. It used to be 21 before support would end.

You got a "smarter kid" implying that your other child is not smart. Paying your support of spending time with your kid is your job, always and forever. That won't change. I can see why you're pissed at your ex, but that does not mean you should take it out on your kid. And you are implying that you're taking it out on your child by saying you got a better kid, and even saying you could be a dick and quit your job. And all that would do is hurt your kid even more. You are in a shitty situation, I agree, no point in making it worse. Suck it up and just be the best parent you can. That's all you can control. If your kid doesn't understand it now, than you can hope that when he'she is 18, they will realize what their mother did to them.
