How long will Suh be suspended?

  • I bet Suh did it on purpose.

What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...

I don't see how it can be proved. He shouldn't be fined. We do know he's an asshole in life that just isn't a great football player. But you can't fine him foe that. I wouldn't want him on my team. Too much baggage for not enough pop.

I think the point is he kicked him not where. Why is another story -

While I think Suh has some issues, and is a dirty player I wouldn't want anyone injured.

As for those trying to defend Suh, simply look at his play as if he were wearing anything other than a Lions jersey. This board would be screaming for fines and suspensions if he kicked Stanford in the nuts.

That would be impressive being able to kick an entire college in the balls while playing pro football.

  • He flung his leg in his direction, not doubt. But he wasn't aiming. If anything, he was reacting to, once again, being tackled/grabbed from behind after beating his man without a flag. Suh had about 4 runs at the QB where the OL reached out and grabbed him after Suh beat him like a rented mule.

Having incognito on the fins, can't stand the dude, think he belongs in the state penn, but watching how his play simply pisses off the D and distracts them is interesting. Anyone crying about Suh needs to have their head examined. Detroit needs nasty. The problem with the d-line has been much more about KVB being washed up and easy to attack than about Suh.

  • So I just saw on the bottom line thing that the league actually is planning on reviewing this. What a joke. As someone on page 1 said....if he did that on purpose and actually was aiming for the jewels, he should be in a different line of work. If he gets anything more than a fine, there really is some sort of conspiracy against him.

He knew the general vicinity of the QB and knew if he kicked his leg he might kick him. I don't believe he was able to aim, but the kick is obvious. As for your conspiracy theory, that is correct. The league does have a vested interest in keeping guys like Suh off the field. He is a repeat offender, a dirty player, and a guy that believes he doesn't have to be accountable for his actions.

You know Goodell won't be able to let it go, intentional or not. Because Goodell is Mr. Dictator. I am going to say the rest of the season.

  • I'm completely objective about this. I don't give a tinkers damn about the Lions or any other NFL team. I only watch because it's better than watching Heidi reruns. So I say this as a complete outsider with no dog in this.

Suh is a dirty player. He might not have known he was in the groin area, but he was trying to kick something. I have no problem with a suspension, since he's a repeat offender and a dirty player.

  • Just watched the clip again and I don't think it's possible he was aiming for Schaub's junk but it is clear he made a second effort to kick him. I'd bet a lot of money he gets a suspension out of this.

I think it can, and will, be argued that the "kick" was actually his body bouncing off the turf as his other knee hit the ground. Take a look at it, concentrate on when his other leg hits in relation to the "kick".

Im not sure what is right, but I know it will be part of the argument.

  • Suh will get suspended just for the fact that he's a piece of shit. If he were well respected around the league, and had no prior history, nothing would have come of this.

And yes, he did it on purpose.

    1) no way, from the angle his head is at, that he can tell where his foot is going
    2) yeah, he probably kicked, hoping to hit something
    d) no way he intentionally kicked him in the junk. Intentionally kicked him, yes, but no way he could predict where from the angle and the direction he was looking/moving
    7) My last post was just letting yall know the direction of Suh's Defense Logic. Not saying he didnt try to kick.

I actually can admit Suh is a straight up dick most of the time but assuming he can intentionally hit a guy in the balls with his foot while falling down and not even looking is a stretch. If he can then I'm impressed.

If he has that level of body control, he should start learning Judo and win the US gold in his weight class in the next 4 Olympics.

    Beardy

  • I'm pulling for Suh, but he extended his leg on purpose to make contact with the QB. There's no way he was able to aim at a specific area, he was just making sure his presence was felt. Despite my conclusion I don't think there was a penalty because there was no kicking motion and no intent to hurt a player.

Agreed it was intentional to kick him, but I doubt it was specifically aimed for the groin. It's not as difficult as you think to get the kick in, the aiming for the groin specifically would be extremely difficult however.

  • Okay, well over 24 hours later, and I've kind of stopped giggling about a guy getting hit in the junk so squarely. Kind of.

Anyway, when you watch it in real time, as you can in the link below... It's really difficult to think that someone would have the presence of mind to go from "get to the QB. Beat my man. Oh crap, he's tackling me. Don't jam my knee into his helmet. OH! CHANCE FOR A NUT SHOT!" all in a split second. There are a lot of reasons to think that Suh is a scumbag, but I'm just not sure that he actually meant to do that.

That last tad of the replay there was probably the best I have seen. the only thing I think Suh did on purpose was try to put a little force into it by trying to stretch out his foot while falling to hit him, but thats not enough to say the whole thing was intentional. I would say its 10% Suh 90% just luck & how he was falling.

He shouldn't be suspended. In fact, if anyone should be suspended its Schaub for not wearing a cup. What a pussy. And screw Kubiak for bringing attention to a non issue. Why the fuck is he not wearing a cup?
