Denard, Roundtree, and Lewan would all start for certain. Kovacs maybe, Countess maybe.

UM has had higher rated recruits than us every year, including higher rated OL and DL . Games are won and lost in the trenches, Gholston would be the only one to start.

Kovacs was a walk-on, and still plays more on smarts than talent. With the talent and experience we have, No Way he starts for us. He's Jon Misch in blue. Nose for the ball, too small for the Big Ten.

Imperial Wizard Lewan, Omameh, and Roundtree if fowler isn't healthy. Kovacs would be nice on special teams, that's it. Maybe he could fill an extremely poor mans Ryan Allison role on third and 10+.

Roundree and Lewan would definitely start for us. Countess would push Dennard, so I'll give that one to them. And although Robinson would play a lot for us, we don't usually start a slot receiver so it's hard for me to say he'd be a starter for us... and I like Bell better than Toussaint, but their RB ran for over 1K so I could see them making a case for it.

Let's call it 3 to 5... tops.

Has anyone ever seen dreadlocks actually catch a pass? I suspect he has hands of stone and will never be a receiver at the next level.

He went for 1k because Denard was objectives 1-3 for opposing defenses.

This is a good thread, I've actually had this discussion with a couple of scUM fans I know, basically it's 2-5 players from Michigan could start for us, out of 24 if you count the kickers. On top of that, our backups are much better than theirs. I really don't think the talent disparity gets enough attention. There is as big of a talent gap between the 2 teams now as there was when Michigan was winning several in a row versus us.

So we have some insecure MSU fans, and the clueless press who fail to see that we should beat Michigan right now 9 out of 10 times, even on their field, based on a huge edge in talent.
