It's boring as hell. How did this become the national pasttime? You sit around for 3 hours in order to see a total of 20 minutes of action? Everyone except the pitcher gets paid millions to do a grand total of 42.6 seconds of running per week? SIGN ME UP.

If one more person says "no dude, you gotta go to the ballpark and watch live, its a different experience." Yea, its a great time hanging out with my friends, drinking beer and eating crappy food, but that would be fun if we were watching a f***ing preschool musical. Or Schindler's List. Or HGTV. Or the Wyoming Gubernatorial Debate. Baseball's not special.

WHO'S WITH ME. NEG BOMB AWAY, BITCHES.

Are you a neg bomb whore or just someone who dislikes baseball.

I happen to like baseball but I am older and had 2 children who play/played the game. Contrary to your feeling about the game it is making money but unlike the NFL which is a perfect format for TV from the short once a week game seasons and rules the NFL and college have made for their games, MLB has pretty much stood pat. 162 games vs 16 is big. Football has action in 5-8 seconds bursts and football is nicely segmented so you know almost down to the minute how long a game will take.

If you have the ability to throw a baseball at 80+ mph, better to be at 90 mph and hit the strike zone with some movement on the ball you'd be playing professionally. Instead you put out this insipid rant based on the fact you lack that ability.

    That's really sorry.

  • I spend my whole summers caring about people that don't like baseball. I'm worried that they will watch it and then they will be sad because they hate it so much.

  • "The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. Its been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But, baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and could be again" - Field of Dreams

Baseball is special. If you can't see that then I just feel sorry for you because you're missing out.

I would rather watch anything on MTV with my wife than watch a baseball game, even at the stadium.

spread the fertilizer nice and thick on some grass seed and watch it grow faster than the rate of play in baseball.

    Playing it awesome since 1981

We get it. You have a short attention span. Do you have a shiny red ball to play with when 16 And Pregnant is on commercial?

Pssst, hey you, psst, over here, I'm going to let you in on a secret. Psst, listen up, can you hear me good. OK, here it goes, I'm guessing you like football. Its a 60 minute long game that takes 3 hours and some times a little more. Do you know how much actual action is in that 60 minute long game that takes 3 hours? The answer is somewhere around 11 minutes. Continue on bashing the 20 minutes of action baseball game now. Hope this helped inform you and have a GREAT day, after all....IT IS BASEBALL SEASON NOW BITCH!!!!!!

Posting member of tRCMB since 1997. It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!

  • I used to love baseball. I would watch any game that was on. It's been tough to get back into watching it since the strike in the 90's. If the Tigers are on, I'll watch it...otherwise, I'm not interested.

This reminds me of the idiot who refuses to go to MSU basketball games because of the move from Jenison to Breslin. I hate to break it to you, but the event happened 17 years ago I think you can watch now... not much, if anything, has changed.

I didn't call you the idiot. I understand you only watch the tigers because it is difficult for you to follow baseball due to a lock out 17 years ago. It's okay. I just think after 17 years you can get back into it.

Wild Card, interleague play, divisional alignment... lots has changed in baseball since the strike.

Not enough where you would have trouble following the game.

Did you forget your medicine again? You said you had trouble getting back into baseball. It has been 17 years. I apologize my wording confused you. I didn't think you literally had trouble following the flow of the game, I meant trouble as in difficulty to get back into it.

Not watching every game that was on like I used to doesn't mean I don't follow baseball like you're implicating. I watch the tigers games when they're on, and follow the rest of the league through online updates once in awhile. I'm just not into it like I used to be.
