Keep in mind that Einstein is a Big XII fan, so he's probably just saying it from a football perspective (Northwestern) and a PR perspective (PSU). He's not a troll, but he doesn't know our conference.

The problem with doing this is that it would kick off a chain reaction of events that would result in the Big Ten no longer having a BCS bid. Think about it:
- Delaney leaves the Big Ten for the new 2 team conference
- OSU/UM demand the Delaney get them a BCS tie-in game
- Delaney, who somehow still has power, rallies the rest of the BCS conference commissioners to support OSU/UM getting the old Big Ten BCS tie-in game in exchange for Delaney fully supporting the plus-one playoff system
- Delaney gets his dream scenario of having UM/OSU in the Rose Bowl every year

This. Last in, first out. The Big Ten was fine with TEN for a long time. We don't need the Philly market or the Omaha market. Tell the interlopers to leave.

That is based ONLY on the initial question. Changing the conference right now, in the climate of expansion, would be very, very stupid.

Eh, the argument is probably geography (for both) and academics (for one). Not a bad argument.
