I guess the trainer just broke the story. Something must have happened this morning because he said the horse was doing fine yesterday and it had a workout this morning

OK, playing devil's advocate here. I did not see the full interview, but why would the trainer for the most popular horse, days before the biggest race of the horse's life, break this story to the Dan Patrick show? Also, why is the DP show the only one running with it? I'm not saying I don't believe it, but what if it comes out that some clown pulled a "fake Ryan Miller" incident and imitated the trainer and made this all up?
