You beat your kids. I'd say you are pretty much a douche, Livonia trash. What's pathetic is I set this all up with those stupid posts and finished it with the last post with the pic and you totally fell victim to the schtick. Sucker. Lol.

    You have issues.

It's odd to me how many of you see a $500 bag as some kind of threat to your manhood.

    I don't really get it.

Spending $500 (or more) on a pretentious purse is a total waste.

Maybe, but that doesn't have anything to do with what I posted.

And, I can think of lots of things I routinely waste money on, like the $500 iPad I'm typing this on, or the $200 phone in my pocket, or the $300 PS3 parked under my $1000 TV next to my $1000 stereo.

If my wife wants a $500 purse, she can have a $500 purse. It doesn't make me less of a man. And, sometimes buying nice things is just... nice.

I do agree with this. If you have the means, then go for it. Everyone likes nice things.

It's got nothing to do with being a "threat to my manhood". It's a threat to my common sense.

Unless paid for with their own money, expensive bags are for self-entitled bitches. If paid for with their own money, they're stupid bitches

  • Wow! If I had read this earlier I would have saved $900 not buying the wallet to match the LV purse my wife bought last September. I bought the toggle for $500. I think the bag was $2,000. She has at least 10. My favorite is the little Prada backpack I bought her as wedding gift (for sightseeing on honeymoon and because it meet the allowed Spartan Stadium dimensions. That was a year or two before MSU banned purse-bombs from the stadium.

I like to think of all of this as a great inheritance for our daughter.

Listen. Happy wife, happier life. It's only $500. If it's what she really wants, do it. It's not like she's asking for a Mazeratti and an Italian boy toy to tool around in it with. You've got it easy - you KNOW what she wants because she told you. Don't eff it up by trying to get her something else. She'll be ticked because you didn't listen, and you'll spend a lot of energy and valuable time trying to find something else that she'd want .... and fail. Buy the damn purse, dummy.

If you are spending $500 you minus well buy her jewelry. At least jewelry has resale. Try hawking a 5 y/o purse.

If you're worried about resale value, you probably shouldn't be buying jewelry or designer handbags.

See my last post above. It was all a set up. Lol.

Will you stop with this nonsense? We are trying to have a serious discussion about purses. On the Internet. On a sports message board.

Yup. My wife has Gucci, Chanel and Prada. None of that coach crap.

    Which wife?

What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...

  • You can buy a LV purse in your price range, but keep in mind it will be small. Small as in she will be asking you to hold some stuff. You can probably buy a good feMale wallet for that money. As for the quality of LV products, I an tell you that they are great. I have a wallet that I got in undergrad and I still use today.

If this is for your wife, spend some money on the LV. It will last for a long time. She will also appreciate it more than that coach crap. If it's for a gf then just get her coach. She isn't worth te investment yet.
