Yes. Assuming he clears waivers, he will be assigned to Toledo. Due to his service time, he can refuse assignment, become a free agent, and still receive his salary, but he told reporters that he would accept assignment to Toledo and try to make it back to the Tigers.

I just read this quote from Dombrowski:

I feel bad for the guy. I get that he makes millions and is paid to perform. Clearly, he has failed badly but watching him tonight answering questions is difficult. A little human compasion for the Brandon is in order. Now, go on with the bashing.
