Is that why Izzo hasn'y offered James Young, because he's waiting for Jabari Parker?
Man, that would be hard to turn down Young even if Parker commits. Young is the #9 player in the country according to rivals.
What a class that would be!
UM, Green Bay and Chicago teams all have one thing in common: They all suck

Izzo is retiring after this season and wanted to drive worry warts like yourself up the wall for a year. He is sick of recruiting and since he's quiting why should he care about another recruiting class.
Reality is Izzo is in a position where he recruits players that will fit in with the team, recruits the parents besides just recruiting the stud player. Izzo has withdrawn scholarship offers too.
If what rookmsu posted is true and Young has MSU behind UK and KU then his interest in MSU isn't nearly as strong as your green glasses view of recuiting would indicate. Based Young's current ranking if UCLA offers MSU probably drops to #4.
Young is a good player but it appears he is interested in schools that recruit coast to coast.

Young has played out of his mind since January and is currently the hot name in the 13 class. The grade issues were real, but they don't appear to be holding anything up at this point. MSU has offered according to most of the analysts following the recruitment. UK has not yet formally offered, but apparently UK is the school Young is highest on right now.

I admit that I do not know much about this Demetrius Jackson kid, but wouldn't he kind of be a plan C type player? I would think that our priority would be Parker, then Young, then Demetrius if we don't get the first two. He isn't a highly coveted prospect based on his offer list (ND/Xavier/Butler) and is a 6'1 point guard, which are a dime a dozen. I don't mean to rag on the kid, but I just don't understand. Am I missing something?

You are missing the fact that he is a consensus 4 start prospect rated in the 60's nationally, who is not done growing. He is a Harris/Dawson like athlete in Appling's body who is expected to be Indiana's top player next year. His offer list will grow, but schools know this kid like ND and MSU, so why waste their resources?

Is MSU only taking one basketball commit in 2013?
