Anyone who reads Rexrode's blog on a regular basis knows that Joe has a very good and sometimes sarcastic sense of humor. The blog is a place where he can sometimes 'let his hair down' and write stuff that is more off the cuff/casual than the articles.

Talking about his travel, where he eats, what kind of unexpected stuff goes on and how crazy it gets sometimes for him to be traveling from one event to the next (especially when football and basketball season are overlapping) is part of the 'conversation' there. People gripe about minor things in regard to their jobs all the time but that does not mean they truly do not like their job.

Anyone who would interpret his comments this way just doesn't get it/get him.
