Is this what the iPhone 5 looks like?

If so, that's pretty sweet. Based on case designs that have started to leak from Asian manufacturers, MacRumors commissioned an artist to render what the iPhone 5 would look like if those cases are accurate.

Rumors are that it will function as a Home button as well a touch sensitive swipe area. A quick way to switch between apps for instance.

Can't be 4.3" in the current size. It will probably be about 4.0" in the same form factor as shown by those mock-ups.

4" screen seems just about right to me. The Android devices I've used seem like their screens are almost too large.

doubtful...those look like crap. I'm expecting apple to hit a home run with the iP5. They've fallen behind the curve and I'm expecting them to jump ahead of the curve with their new phone.

After using the EVO, I can no longer use a phone with a display under 4.3". I picked up an Atrix to play with a few weeks ago, and it just looked really small. I booted my iPod Touch up to check it before selling it, and it seriously felt like I was looking at an old flip-phone freebie. Really tiny display.

How many times can Apple release a "new" product that looks and functions 99% the same as the previous one, and still have all the previous owners "upgrade" for said "new" product?
I like the iPad and iPhone... I wouldn't switch cell phone carriers just to get the iPhone, but I like it... I just don't get why people keep "upgrading" when the damn things look and work almost exactly the same.

But, Apple has introduced a "swipe down" from the top of the screen notification system in iOS 5 that could benefit from some extra finger-space near the top of the screen in order to properly register.
