I don't get the "we don't need to do anything.....we're Michigan" slogan vs. the millions of dollars devoted to new advertising (like the comically lame hashtag campaign).
Its true that for 1970s-80s ball, the Big House was special. Now its oddly the quietest stadium I've been in...even when its full. Lots of golf claps. Its the least exciting stadium to be in from an energy level standpoint. So their panic on losing the scoreboard race, and painfully misguided uniform changes (the best being the Ronald McDonald outfits from a year ago) are proof that even UM doesn't believe in the inane "We're Michigan for gosh sakes".....they are going all out to revamp their marketing on a tired brand and stadium.

You make excuses for each loss (crown on the field, the clock stopped when it shouldn't have, Larry Stevens was undressed, thank the men in stripes today). It's never MSU or Wisconsin or Oregon was the better team that day. You are pimpled faced geeks from New York for the most part who couldn't get into the Ivey League schools, so you settle for Michigan. Go eff yourselfs.

Everytime you simply say, "we're Michigan" you are being a classless asshole, as if your school and sports is above the rules of every other school as far as sportsmanship. The most hated group of sports fans in college football, bar none!

With the incredible things that Dave Brandon has done at THE University of Michigan, such as inventing night games and revolutionizing the landscape of college football when he created the concept of an "alternate jersey," I think we all need to look ourselves in the mirror and ask, "What have I done for Michigan lately?" Have you bought your new Denard Robinson jersey from Walmart? Have you gone that extra mile to buy decals and flags for your double wide? As Dave Brandon continues his work to truly innovate college football, we all need to remember that the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just that extra money spent at Walmart. There's no question that Brandon hired this guy out of his own inadequacies in being compared to Hollis. Yet UM's athletic department is still about as innovative as 247's message boards. Only the Detroit papers could write an article like this about athletic department innovation without mentioning the other major state school that has set the gold standard for innovation nationally. He talks about full basketball arenas? How about a full football stadium to watch basketball? How about a full fucking aircraft carrier with the President of the United States in attendance? Online ticket sales? Alternate uniforms? Night games? Really? Wow.

Easy Francis. Like I said thin skinned. Unfortunately for me, i live in east lansing. Its been a brutal four years and State has won those games without the help of crowned domes including yours. I just find it amusing that any positive article(that was clealry a fluff piece) is viewed as an out right assault on all things green and white.
Where did I say it was an assault on all things green and white. My comment was directed at the reference that your fanbase and teams win with class and respect. There was no respect shown after last years game as none of your players shook the hand of the MSU player. Your coaches have traditionally made excuses for losing, the crown on the field, the time clock---got to go to the Big Ten and complain. Nah, you never win with class or respect. That is why everyone in the Big Ten hates your fan base and wants to destroy your teams. When you win, you rub it in and when you lose, you don't acknoweldge it. AGain, the ND fans have class. Michigan fans are the worst. Hell, even OSU fans show some respect. Yours never do.

They've been screwed by officials, robbed by timekeepers, run out of time, been victims of rain, locusts, vicious assault and fire, and hired an incompetent coach with a lovely singing voice that was somehow everyone's fault but their own.
