For someone (relatively) new on this board, can someone give me the cliff notes version of how this relates to the old board and what happened there? Epic thread or something? Bumped continuously? Also, where was that initial column published?

In 2003, Michigan (still under probation) beat MSU (in Crisler) for the first time without cheating in a long time. Jim Carty who was the Ann Arbor writer at the time penned that column. It led to numerous bumps and MSU fans emailing Carty every year until he penned a mea culpa on his blog (he had left journalism and was in law school at the time). It's now an annual tradition to bump the column.
