Izzo is going hard after this guy - same as he did with Gary Harris, Shannon Brown, etc. I think its pretty much a given that he isn't going to stay longer than a year, but whatever team he will be on will have a good shot of doing some damage. Plus he is a great kid - recent article was about how he is exhausted after playing multiple AAU games in one day, but still stops to sign kids' autographs at the end of the day "because I used to be that kid going to watch Lebron and Derrick Rose".
If we get him....Izzo has a very good chance to win another title. Possible lineup of: Appling (Sr.) Harris (So.) Parker (Fr.) Dawson (Jr.) Payne (Sr.)

When did Washington get back in it? They were mentioned early on (Months ago) but have not heard them being a player since. He checked them out but nothing coming out that they really can compete with the big boys. UNC was also mentioned months ago but I have not seen anything since. Duke has been mentioned as his top choice previously, but now 2nd to MSU from most of the postings I have seen. ( Have yet to see a real source I might add) He has mentioned he thinks it's good when players play in their home states, so that may be a factor in his decision. ( paraphrasing, and sorry dont have the source) Right now its pretty much up in the air with nothing solid coming out from reliable sources. ( i.e. No quotes from Jabari or his family) That should about sum it up for anyway that is not paying attention to it yet. Hope it helps. He is a high quality character guy, He would represent us very well if he chose MSU.

Well... there has been divided opinion on the subject. I would not bet a dime on that being the deciding factor if that helps. I think realistically at this point Duke is the only school that is outside "driving distance" if that makes sense. Coach K and Duke have a lot of influence overall and specifically the Chicago area from what I gather. ( From the Duke Board) They were completely sold on him going there a few months ago but now they are just like us pretty much. ( Except maybe with Duke still with the lead) The only certain thing about the Parker recruitment is that nothing is certain.

From what I have read about Jahlil, he seems less likely to choose us. ( Unless Tyus Jones picks us) Maybe even reduce it to a gut feeling, but he just seems like a Kentucky type recruit with his mindset.
Only have seen MSU leading for Cliff Alexander. In case anyone has not heard of him yet, He is a C/PF with good raw talent but from what has been reported he is more raw.

You know what I love most about Jabari Parker? Not his jumper, not his athleticism, not his defensive ability...it is his faith. Give me a kid with faith and you know you've got someone with character and character leads to championships.
If this kid chooses MSU, I already know he'll have a great chance being one of my all time favorites.
